Contents
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
-
(1) This Act is the National Parks Amendment Act 2001.
(2) In this Act, the National Parks Act 1980 is called
“the principal Act”
.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Existing national parks
Section 6 of the principal Act is amended by adding the following subsection:
“(4) By virtue of Order in Council dated 3 April 2000 (Gazette 1 June 2000, p 1281), Urewera National Park is now called Te Urewera National Park.”
