69 Termination of deeds of recognition

A deed of recognition automatically terminates in respect of a statutory area or the relevant part of the area if—

(a)

Te Uri o Hau governance entity and the Minister of Conservation agree in writing that a deed of recognition is no longer appropriate for the area concerned; or

(b)

all or part of the statutory area is alienated by the Crown to a person or body other than the Crown; or

(c)

there is a change in the Minister of the Crown, or the department of State, responsible for the management of all or part of the statutory area.
