The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Climate Change Response (Extension of Penalty Transition for Forestry Activities with Low Volume Emissions Liabilities) Amendment Act 2022.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Climate Change Response Act 2002.
4 Schedule 1AA amended
(1)
In Schedule 1AA, in the heading to clause 17, replace “2023”
with “2025”
.
(2)
In Schedule 1AA, clause 17(1)(b)(i), replace “1 January 2023”
with “1 January 2025”
.
(3)
In Schedule 1AA, clause 17(1)(b)(ii)(C), after “in this Act”
, insert “or secondary legislation made under this Act”
.
