The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Local Government Amendment Act 2009.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on 1 December 2009.
3 Local Government Act 2002 amended
This Act amends the Local Government Act 2002.
4 Circumstances when Court may make removal order
Section 216(b) is amended by adding
“; or”
and also by adding the following subparagraph:“(iii) is such that the court is satisfied that it may reasonably be regarded as intimidating.”
