This order is made under section 260 of the Local Government Act 2002 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Local Government (Ōpōtiki District Council) Order 2019.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 17 January 2020.
3 Schedule 2 of Local Government Act 2002 amended
In the Local Government Act 2002, Schedule 2, Part 2, item relating to the Opotiki District Council, replace “Opotiki District Council”
with “Ōpōtiki District Council”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order amends Schedule 2 of the Local Government Act 2002 to change the name of the Opotiki District Council to Ōpōtiki District Council. The amendment takes effect when the order comes into force on 17 January 2020.
Date of notification in Gazette: 19 December 2019.
