Contents

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title
2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on 1 July 2004.

3 Rate of contribution

  • Section 61B of the principal Act is amended by—

    • (a) omitting from subsection (1) the words “Except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, the”, and substituting the word “The” ; and

    • (b) repealing subsection (2).

4 Rate of contributions by former contributors under Part 2

  • Section 61F of the principal Act is amended by repealing subsection (1), and substituting the following subsection:

    • “(1) The contribution to be made by a contributor under this Part who made, or is deemed to have made, an election under section 61E to contribute to the Fund under this Part is 6.5% of the contributor's salary.”

5 Sections 61G and 61H repealed

  • Sections 61G and 61H of the principal Act are repealed.
