The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
-
(1) This Act is the Government Superannuation Fund Amendment Act (No 2) 2003.
(2) In this Act, the Government Superannuation Fund Act 1956 is called
“the principal Act”
.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on 1 July 2004.
3 Rate of contribution
4 Rate of contributions by former contributors under Part 2
Section 61F of the principal Act is amended by repealing subsection (1), and substituting the following subsection:
“(1) The contribution to be made by a contributor under this Part who made, or is deemed to have made, an election under section 61E to contribute to the Fund under this Part is 6.5% of the contributor's salary.”
