The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Crown Entities Amendment Act 2010.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Crown Entities Act 2004.
4 Method of appointment of members

(1) Section 28(3) is amended by omitting
“; and”
in the second place where it appears and also by repealing paragraph (c).(2) Section 28 is amended by adding the following subsection:

“(4) The responsible Minister must ensure that the following are notified in the Gazette as soon as is reasonably practicable after an appointment is made:
“(a) the name of the appointee and the statutory entity; and
“(b) the date on which the appointment takes effect; and
“(c) the term of the appointment.”
