Restricted access records

50 Period for which restricted access may apply

The period of time for which public access to a public record may be restricted under section 44(3)(a)(i), may—

(a)

on the written request of the Chief Archivist, be reviewed after the expiry of 10 years from the date that the restriction is recorded in the public access register; and

(b)

before its expiry, be extended for further periods as specified by the administrative head of the controlling public office.
