60 Protection of names


No person may, except with the consent of the Governor-General in Council, be incorporated or registered under another enactment or in another manner under the following names:


Archives New Zealand (Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga):

Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga:


National Archives:


Te Whare Tohu Tuhituhinga o Aotearoa:


another name that so resembles the names in any of paragraphs (a) to (e) as to be likely to mislead a person.


No person other than the department may, either alone or with another person, trade or carry on business or exercise the functions for which it was formed—


under a name specified in subsection (1); or


under a name that so resembles a name specified in that subsection as to be likely to mislead a person.
