The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • (1) This Act is the Forests Amendment Act 2005.

    (2) In this Act, the Forests Act 1949 is called “the principal Act”.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Delegation of Minister's powers

  • Section 4 of the principal Act is repealed.

4 Delegation of powers by Secretary

  • Section 4A of the principal Act is repealed.
