Legal services

21 Provision of legal services


A person commits an offence who, not being a lawyer or an incorporated law firm,—


provides legal services in New Zealand; and


describes himself, herself, or itself as—


a lawyer; or


a law practitioner; or


a legal practitioner; or


a barrister; or


a solicitor; or


a barrister and solicitor; or


an attorney-at-law; or




This section is subject to the exceptions set out in sections 25(2) and 27.
