Racing Amendment Act 2007: repealed, on 1 August 2020, pursuant to section 130(1) of the Racing Industry Act 2020 (2020 No 28).

This Act is administered by the Department of Internal Affairs.
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Racing Amendment Act 2007.
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
This Act amends the Racing Act 2003.
Section 12 is amended by inserting the following subsection after subsection (5):
(5A)
If a panel member is unable to participate in a meeting of the panel, the panel member may designate a suitably qualified person to act as a substitute member, who is entitled, in the absence of the panel member,—
to participate in the meeting in the panel member’s place; and
to be treated as a member of the nomination advisory panel for the purposes of the meeting.
