This Act was repealed, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 143 Coroners Act 2006 (2006 No 38). See section 144 of that Act for the transitional provisions.

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

 
1 Title

This Act is the Coroners Act 1988 Amendment Act 2007.

This Act was repealed, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 143 Coroners Act 2006 (2006 No 38). See section 144 of that Act for the transitional provisions.

2 Commencement

This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Amendment to Coroners Act 1988

This Act amends the Coroners Act 1988.

This Act was repealed, as from 1 July 2007, pursuant to section 143 Coroners Act 2006 (2006 No 38). See section 144 of that Act for the transitional provisions.

4 Retirement of coroners and deputies

Section 33(1) is amended by omitting “68” and substituting “70”.
