Pursuant to section 2(2) of the Building Amendment Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title
This order is the Building Amendment Act 2009 Commencement Order 2009.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 1 February 2010, sections 5, 6, 7(1), 8, 9, 15 to 17, 19, 25, and 27 to 29 of the Building Amendment Act 2009. These provisions, in the main, relate to national multiple-use approvals and minor variations to building consents.
Date of notification in Gazette: 17 December 2009.
