Pursuant to section 2 of the Whakarewarewa and Roto-a-Tamaheke Vesting Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Whakarewarewa and Roto-a-Tamaheke Vesting Act Commencement Order 2010.
2 Commencement
The Whakarewarewa and Roto-a-Tamaheke Vesting Act 2009 comes into force on 19 November 2010.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Whakarewarewa and Roto-a-Tamaheke Vesting Act 2009 (the 2009 Act) into force on 19 November 2010, 1 day after the commencement of sections 107 and 108 of the Affiliate Te Arawa Iwi and Hapu Claims Settlement Act 2008 (the 2008 Act). The staged commencement of the remaining provisions of the 2008 Act and of the whole of the 2009 Act allows the vesting of the Whakarewarewa Thermal Springs Reserve and the Roto-a-Tamaheke Reserve, first to Te Pūmautanga o Te Arawa Trust trustees and thence to the Whakarewarewa joint trustees (within the meaning of the 2009 Act).
