Pursuant to section 2 of the Cluster Munitions Prohibition Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

This order is the Cluster Munitions Prohibition Act Commencement Order 2010.
2 Commencement of Cluster Munitions Prohibition Act 2009
The Cluster Munitions Prohibition Act 2009 comes into force on 1 August 2010.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Cluster Munitions Prohibition Act 2009 into force on 1 August 2010. That date is the date on which the Convention on Cluster Munitions (which is implemented in New Zealand law by the Cluster Munitions Prohibition Act 2009) enters into force for New Zealand.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 10 June 2010.
