The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Rates Rebate Amendment Act 2010.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Rates Rebate Act 1973.
4 Interpretation
Paragraph (b) of the definition of income in section 2(1) is amended by inserting
“or partner”
after“spouse”
in each place where it appears.
