54 Limitations on exercise of protected customary rights

(1)

A protected customary right does not include any right or title over the part of the common marine and coastal area where the protected customary right is exercised, other than the rights provided for in section 52.

(2)

A protected customary right must be exercised in accordance with—

(a)

any terms, conditions, or limitations on the scale, extent, and frequency of the activity specified in the order or in the agreement; and

(b)

any controls imposed by the Minister of Conservation under section 56.
