Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Amendment Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

This order is the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2011.
2 Commencement of Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Amendment Act 2011
The Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Amendment Act 2011 comes into force on 1 July 2011.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Amendment Act 2011 into force on 1 July 2011.
The Act amends the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 to provide for the Environmental Protection Authority to take over the functions of the former Environmental Risk Management Authority and to repeal the provisions relating to Nga Kaihautu Tikanga Taiao.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
