Pursuant to section 2(2) of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Trade Marks Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2011.
2 Commencement of sections 18 and 23 of Trade Marks Amendment Act 2011
Sections 18 and 23 of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 2011 come into force on 7 October 2011.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 7 October 2011, sections 18 and 23 of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 2011. Those sections, respectively, insert new subpart 2A of Part 4 of the Trade Marks Act 2002 (the Act), relating to the appointment, functions, and powers of enforcement officers, and new sections 155A to 155K of the Act, relating to the enforcement powers of Customs officers.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
