This order is the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 (Genesis Energy Limited) Commencement Order 2014.

2 Commencement of provisions relating to Genesis Energy Limited

The following sections of the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 come into force on 7 March 2014:
- (a) sections 4(1) and 5(1) (amendments to State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986):
- (b) section 6(2) (amendment to Ombudsmen Act 1975):
- (c) section 8(2) (amendment to Public Finance Act 1989):
- (d) sections 10(1) and 11(1) (amendments to Income Tax Act 2007).

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012 into force in relation to Genesis Energy Limited on 7 March 2014. The effect of doing so is that Genesis Energy Limited ceases on that date to be a State enterprise under the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 and becomes a mixed ownership model company listed in Schedule 5 of the Public Finance Act 1989. At the same time, the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 cease to apply to Genesis Energy Limited and the name of the company is inserted in the list of mixed-ownership enterprises under the Income Tax Act 2007.
