The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Health Amendment Act 2013.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Health Act 1956 (the principal Act).
4 Section 69G amended (Interpretation)

(1) In section 69G, repeal the definition of public health risk management plan.
(2) In section 69G, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:
“water safety plan means a plan prepared and operated by a drinking-water supplier or other person under section 69Z or 69ZA”.
5 Section 69V amended (Duty to take all practicable steps to comply with drinking-water standards)
In section 69V(2), replace
“public health risk management”
with“water safety”
