Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Social Security (Jobseeker Support—Medical Examinations) Regulations 2010.

These regulations are the Social Security (Sickness Benefit—Medical Examinations) Regulations 2010 as renamed on 15 July 2013 by the Social Security (Benefit Categories and Work Focus) Amendment Act 2013.

After 14 July 2013 a reference in an enactment or in a document to the Social Security (Sickness Benefit—Medical Examinations) Regulations 2010 must, unless the context otherwise requires, be read as a reference to the Social Security (Jobseeker Support—Medical Examinations) Regulations 2010.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 27 September 2010.

3 Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,—

Act means the Social Security Act 1964

nurse practitioner means a health practitioner who—

(a)

is, or is deemed to be, registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand continued by section 114(1)(a) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a practitioner of the profession of nursing whose scope of practice permits the performance of nurse practitioner functions; and

(b)

holds a current practising certificate.

4 Nurse practitioner specified as health practitioner for purposes of section 88E(2)(d) of Act

A nurse practitioner is specified as a health practitioner for the purposes of section 88E(2)(d) of the Act.
