The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Extradition Amendment Act 2015.
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
This Act amends the Extradition Act 1999 (the principal Act).
After section 82(3), insert:

If a person is arrested on a warrant issued or endorsed under this Act, a constable may take the identifying particulars of that person in accordance with section 32 of the Policing Act 2008 as if that person is detained in lawful custody for committing an offence against New Zealand law.
