The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Local Electoral Amendment Act 2015.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act
This Act amends the Local Electoral Act 2001 (the principal Act).
4 Section 19ZC amended (Requirements for valid demand)
In section 19ZC(4), replace
“28 February”
with“21 February”

5 Section 19ZF amended (Poll of electors)
In section 19ZF(3), replace
