The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

This Act is the KiwiSaver (HomeStart) Amendment Act 2015.

2 Commencement

This Act is treated as coming into force on 1 April 2015.

3 Principal Act

This Act amends the KiwiSaver Act 2006 (the principal Act).

4 Schedule 1 amended

In Schedule 1, replace clause 8(1)⁠(ab) and (b) with:

(b)

the person has been a member of 1 or more KiwiSaver schemes or complying superannuation funds for a combined total period of 3 years or more.
