This order is made under section 2(1) of the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act (No 2) 2016 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

2 Commencement of Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act (No 2) 2016
The Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act (No 2) 2016 comes into force on 31 January 2018.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Amendment Act (No 2) 2016 into force on 31 January 2018. That Act amends the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989 by replacing references to medical practitioners with references to health practitioners.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
Date of notification in Gazette: 10 August 2017.
