2 Commencement

(1)

This Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more Orders in Council may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates.

(2)

To the extent that it is not previously brought into force under subsection (1), the rest of this Act comes into force on 1 July 2020.

(3)

An order under this section is secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).

Section 2(1): sections 4, 7, 8, 49, and 51 and Schedule 2 (so far as it relates to the Crown Entities Act 2004, Legal Services Act 2011, and Official Information Act 1982) brought into force, on 3 April 2020, by clause 2 of the Criminal Cases Review Commission Act Commencement Order 2020 (LI 2020/12).
