This order is made under section 26(1)(a) of the Public Service Act 2020 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Public Service (Border Executive Board) Order 2025.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 January 2026.
3 Principal Act
This order amends the Public Service Act 2020.
4 Schedule 2 amended
In Schedule 2, Part 3, repeal the item relating to the Border Executive Board.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 January 2026, amends the Public Service Act 2020 by removing the Border Executive Board (the Board) from the list of interdepartmental executive boards set out in Part 3 of Schedule 2 of that Act.
The Board is disestablished as an interdepartmental executive board but continues as a Cabinet-mandated board.
