This order, which comes into force on 1 December 2024, amends the Public Service Act 2020 (the principal Act) to reflect the establishment of the Ministry of Disabled People as a government department and the disestablishment of the Ministry for Disabled People as a departmental agency. The amendments—

• insert the name of the Ministry of Disabled People into the list of government departments set out in Part 1 of Schedule 2 of the principal Act:

• remove the name of the Ministry for Disabled People from the list of departmental agencies in Part 2 of that schedule.

The effect of the order is that the Ministry of Disabled People becomes a public service agency to which the principal Act applies.
