Biosecurity and Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Legislation Amendment Bill
Proposed motion to divide Bill into 2 Bills
Hon Jim Anderton, in Committee, to move as follows:
That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and Part 1 be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Biosecurity Amendment Act (No 4) 2008.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
That Part 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Amendment Act (No 2) 2008.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper divides the Biosecurity and Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Legislation Amendment Bill into the following 2 Bills:
Biosecurity Amendment Bill (No 4):
