Financial Service Providers (Pre-Implementation Adjustments) Bill

Proposed motion to divide Bill into 2 Bills

Hon Simon Power, in Committee, to move as follows:

That the enacting words, clauses 1 to 2, Part 1, and the Schedule, be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 to 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

This Act is the Financial Advisers Amendment Act 2010.

2 Commencement

(1) Section 30 and the Schedule come into force on the commencement of section 164(4) of the Financial Advisers Act 2008.

(2) The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

That Part 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

This Act is the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Amendment Act 2010.

2 Commencement

This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper divides the Financial Service Providers (Pre-Implementation Adjustments) Bill into the following 2 Bills:

Financial Advisers Amendment Bill:
Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Amendment Bill.
