Statutes Amendment Bill (No 2)

Proposed motion to divide Bill into 20 Bills

Hon Nathan Guy, in Committee, to move as follows:

That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and Part 1 be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the Antarctica (Environmental Protection) Amendment Act 2011.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

That Part 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the Charities Amendment Act 2011.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

That Part 3 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 3 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the Citizens Initiated Referenda Amendment Act 2011.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

That Part 4 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 4 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the Civil Defence Emergency Management Amendment Act 2011.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force 30 days after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent.

  • This Act is the Companies Amendment Act 2011.
