Local Government Borrowing Bill
Proposed motion to divide Bill into 2 Bills
Hon Rodney Hide, in Committee, to move as follows:
That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and Part 1 be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Local Government Borrowing Act 2011.
2 Commencement

(1) This Act comes into force on the day after the Funding Agency is registered under the Companies Act 1993.
(2) However, this Act is repealed on the day that is 12 months after the date on which it receives the Royal assent if the Funding Agency has not been registered by that date.
That Part 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Local Government (Auckland Council) Amendment Act 2011.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper divides the Local Government Borrowing Bill into 2 separate enactments.
