Mixed Ownership Model Bill

Proposed motion to divide Bill into 2 Bills

Hon Tony Ryall, in Committee, to move as follows:

That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and Part 1 be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Act 2012.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and 1 or more Orders in Council may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates.

That Part 2 and Schedules 1 and 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the Public Finance (Mixed Ownership Model) Amendment Act 2012.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper divides the Mixed Ownership Model Bill into—

  • the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Bill; and

  • the Public Finance (Mixed Ownership Model) Amendment Bill.
