Māori Television Service (Te Aratuku Whakaata Irirangi Māori) Amendment Bill

Proposed amendment

Hon Dr Pita Sharples, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 2

In clause 2, replace “3 December 2012” (line 6 on page 3) with “the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent”.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper, which replaces Supplementary Order Paper No 361, amends the Māori Television Service (Te Aratuku Whakaata Irirangi Māori) Amendment Bill. It makes changes to clause 2 of the Bill.

Clause 2 is the commencement clause. This Supplementary Order Paper amends clause 2 to provide for the Act to come into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

Departmental disclosure statement

Te Puni Kōkiri considers that a departmental disclosure statement is not required to be prepared for this Supplementary Order Paper.
