Riccarton Racecourse Development Enabling Bill
Proposed amendments
Hon Dr Nick Smith, in Committee, to move the following amendments:
Clause 3
Delete clause 3 (page 2, lines 13 to 16).
New clause 3A inserted
After the Part 1 heading (page 2, after line 18), insert:
3 Repeal
This Act is repealed on the close of the day that is 1 year after the date on which the Act receives the Royal assent if no Order in Council is made under section 11 before that time.
Clause 11
In clause 11(2)(a) (page 5, line 26), replace “Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery”
with “Minister supporting Greater Christchurch Regeneration”
.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper sets out 2 proposed amendments to the Riccarton Racecourse Development Enabling Bill:
the first makes a technical change; it moves clause 3 (the repeal clause) so that it is no longer outside Part 1 of the Bill but instead becomes the first clause of that Part:
the second makes a change to clause 11 consequential on the enactment of the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act 2016.
Departmental disclosure statement
The Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment considers that a departmental disclosure statement is not required to be prepared for this Supplementary Order Paper.
