This Supplementary Order Paper sets out amendments to the Electronic Interactions Reform Bill.

The first amendment inserts a new clause 32A to amend section 46 of the Electronic Identity Verification Act 2012 to clarify that the chief executive may, in addition to requiring the submission of a photograph with an application, specify requirements in relation to photographs submitted with applications (for example, to specify that a photograph submitted with an application for renewal of an electronic identity credential must have been taken within a specified time period of the making of the application).

The second amendment is a minor and technical drafting change to clause 44 to update the numbering of the inserted provisions in light of other amendments made to section 98 of the Commerce Act 1986 by section 29 of the Commerce (Cartels and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2017.
