Insolvency Practitioners Bill
Proposed motion to divide Bill into 2 Bills
Hon Kris Faafoi, in Committee, to move as follows:
That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, Parts 1 and 2, and Schedules 1 to 3 be a separate Bill, and that the enacting words and clauses 1 and 2 be replaced with:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Insolvency Practitioners Regulation (Amendments) Act 2010.
2 Commencement
(1)
Section 10 (which enables the making of regulations) comes into force on the day after the date of Royal assent.
(2)
The rest of this Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more Orders in Council may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates.
(3)
Any provision that is not earlier brought into force under subsection (2) comes into force on the first anniversary of the date of Royal assent.
That Parts 3 to 6 and Schedules 4 and 5 be a separate Bill, and that above the Part 3 heading there be inserted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Insolvency Practitioners Regulation Act 2010.
2 Commencement
(1)
The following sections come into force on the day after the date of Royal assent:
(a)
sections 16 to 20 (which are preliminary provisions relating to this Act):
(b)
sections 34 to 38 (which enable the Registrar to prescribe licensing and other matters):
(c)
sections 46 to 48 (which relate to the accreditation of bodies):
(d)
sections 51 and 54 to 61 (which relate to policies, directions, and other matters relating to accredited bodies):
(e)
sections 68 to 70 (which provide an exemption from membership of an accredited body for certain overseas practitioners, members of recognised bodies, and members of religious societies and orders):
(f)
sections 81 to 92B (which relate to miscellaneous matters).
(2)
The rest of this Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council, and 1 or more Orders in Council may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates.
(3)
