New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute Vesting Bill

Proposed amendment

Honourable Nanaia Mahuta, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Schedule 1: clause 4

In Schedule 1, replace clause 4(2) (page 13, lines 8 to 13) with:

(2)

When the report is completed, the chairperson referred to in subclause (1) must provide the report to—

(a)

the Minister; and

(b)

the Partnership.

(2A)

The Minister must present the report to the House of Representatives as soon as reasonably practicable after receiving it.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute Vesting Bill to require the Minister to present the final report of the NZMACI to the House of Representatives.

Departmental disclosure statement

Te Puni Kōkiri considers that a departmental disclosure statement is not required to be prepared for this Supplementary Order Paper.
