This Supplementary Order Paper relates to the amendments made by the Accident Compensation (Maternal Birth Injury and Other Matters) Bill (the Bill) to bring within the section 25 definition of accident the maternal birth injuries specified in new Schedule 3A. Clause 6A of the Bill inserts new section 25A, which requires the Minister to review the operation of new Schedule 3A and to prepare a report to be presented to the House of Representatives. The amendment in this Supplementary Order Paper clarifies the date by which these steps must occur, which is as soon as practicable after 1 October 2025.
