Te Ururoa Flavell, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
New clause 3A:
Insert, after clause 3 (after line 25 on page 5):
3A Principles of Treaty of Waitangi
All persons exercising functions and powers under this Act must take into account the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi (Te Tiriti o Waitangi).
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper inserts a new clause into the Bill to ensure that those who carry out functions under the Bill take into account the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi (Te Tiriti o Waitangi).
