Gambling (Gambling Harm Reduction) Amendment Bill

Proposed amendment

Hon Trevor Mallard, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 13

After clause 13, new section 97A(2)(after line 21 on page 6), insert:

  • “(3) Irrespective of any provision in this Act, no class 4 venue licence may be transferred to an area that has higher deprivation than the old venue.”

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Gambling (Gambling Harm Reduction) Amendment Bill to provide that no class 4 venue licence may be transferred to an area that has higher deprivation than the old venue.
