Denise Roche, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
New clause 4A
After clause 4 (after line 18 on page 2), insert:
4A Section 4 amended (Interpretation)
In section 4(1), definition of authorised purpose, delete paragraph (a)(iii).
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Gambling (Gambling Harm Reduction) Amendment Bill to restrict the definition of authorised purpose in the principal Act to exclude promoting, controlling, and conducting race meetings under the Racing Act 2003.
