New Zealand International Convention Centre Bill
Proposed amendment
Metiria Turei, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 6
Delete clause 6(3) (lines 17 to 19 on page 5).
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the New Zealand International Convention Centre Bill. It deletes clause 6(3), which provides for the gambling law to prevail if its application would be more favourable to SKYCITY than the regulatory concessions. In effect, this means that SKYCITY may continue to receive more benefits beyond the current regulatory concessions outlined in the Agreement if gambling laws are amended.
