Proposed amendment

Denise Roche, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 9

Replace clause 9 (lines 16 to 25 on page 6), with:

9 Obligations of Gambling Commission

  • Where there is inconsistency between this Act and the Gambling Act 2003, the Gambling Commission must follow the Gambling Act 2003.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the New Zealand International Convention Centre Bill. This Supplementary Order Paper makes clear that, where there is uncertainty between this Act and the Gambling Act 2003, the Gambling Commission must follow the Gambling Act 2003.
