Proposed amendments

Pita Paraone, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 6

Delete clause 6(3)(a)(v).

Clause 12

In clause 12, replace the definition of iwi of Taranaki with:

iwi of Taranaki means—

(a)

Ngāti Tama; and

(b)

Ngāti Mutunga; and

(c)

Ngāti Ruanui; and

(d)

Ngā Rauru Kītahi; and

(e)

Taranaki Iwi; and

(f)

Ngāti Maru; and

(g)

Ngāruahine; and

(h)

Te Atiawa

Part 2

Delete subpart 7 of Part 2.

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper deletes clause 6(3)(a)(v), amends clause 12, and deletes subpart 7 of Part 2 to withdraw the mechanism for a non-elected group of citizens to share the same rights and powers as elected representatives on the committee of the Taranaki Regional Council.
