Proposed amendments

Tracey Martin, in Committee, to move the following amendment:

Clause 38

In clause 38, new section 35ZJ(3), replace “may be made unconditionally or” (page 33, line 20) with “must be made”

Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Education (Update) Amendment Bill by ensuring that any grants that are made to communities of online learning are subject to conditions rather than giving the Minister complete discretion to give away public money to both full and provisionally accredited communities of online learning without any strings attached.
