Erica Stanford, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 18
In clause 18, after new clause 12A (page 9, after line 8), insert:
12AB Transitional arrangements for funding of specified partnership school kura hourua
The funding arrangements that existed under the terms of the contract of a specified partnership school kura hourua that is, or is to be, replaced by a specified State school must be carried over to that specified State school for up to 5 years.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Education Amendment Bill.
The intent of this amendment is to ease the transition for partnership schools kura hourua moving to specified State schools, in order for them to continue to offer the appropriate flexibility to cater for high-need students, such as smaller class sizes; subsidies for transport, uniforms or lunches; and specialist staff.
