Proposed amendment
Christopher Luxon, in Committee, to move the following amendment:
Clause 8
In clause 8, insert new clause 8(f):
(f)
does not include a supplier who supplies drinking water to fewer than 30 end-point users.
Explanatory note
This Supplementary Order Paper would exempt water suppliers that supply fewer than 30 end-point users from the Water Services Bill. This will alleviate onerous and disproportionate obligations on small water suppliers, such as rural water schemes, holiday-home owners sharing a bore, subdivision water schemes, and some marae.
